Mr Fothergills Dwarf Bean Borlotti

Mr Fothergills Dwarf Bean Borlotti is a striking and highly versatile bean variety valued for both fresh and dried use. When harvested young, the pods can be eaten as tender green beans, while mature beans can be dried and used as haricot-style beans, making it a dual-purpose crop for the home garden.

The mature beans are visually distinctive, featuring red flecks on a pale green background, while the seeds themselves are also decorative with creamy yellow colouring and red streaks and spotsideal for drying and storage. This productive dwarf variety can be planted from spring to late summer, and in warmer regions it can also be grown in autumn.
