If youre looking to add a splash of pure sunshine to your garden, Tokyo Sun Sedum is the vibrant, low-growing groundcover youve been searching for. This eye-catching succulent creates a brilliant lime-gold carpet that stays tight to the ground, reaching only 2 to 3 inches in height, making it an exceptional choice for filling gaps between pavers or spilling over the edges of rock gardens. To keep that neon glow at its peak, plant it in a spot that receives full sun to part shade; the more light it gets, the more intense its golden hue becomes. Beyond its stunning color, this sedum is a champion of practicality because it is remarkably deer and rabbit resistant, as the local critters typically steer clear of its fleshy, water-storing leaves. Its a tough-as-nails “stepable” that handles drought with ease, providing you with a high-impact, golden texture that works hard so you dont have to.
