Myoporum insulare Ground Hug is a hardy, ultra-low growing Australian native groundcover valued for its dense, weed-smothering foliage and rapid horizontal spread. In spring, a scattering of small white flowers appears among the glossy foliage, adding subtle seasonal interest. Its naturally spreading habit requires very little pruning while its dense foliage helps stabilise soil and provides effective surface erosion control. Selected for improved tolerance to wet and humid climates, it performs reliably across many parts of Australia. Its tough, adaptable nature makes it ideal for roadside plantings, pathway edges, wide borders, rain gardens, and covering difficult or untidy areas.
