Wisteria Longissima is a classic Japanese climber admired for its breathtaking racemes of pale lavender to mauve flowers that can reach up to 1 metre in length! Blooming in spring, often on bare stems, the sweetly fragrant flowers create a stunning curtain of colour before the lacy green foliage emerges. As autumn arrives, the leaves turn a glowing golden yellow, ensuring year-round appeal. This hardy and vigorous vine is ideal for training over pergolas, arches, fences, or verandahs, where it will form a spectacular seasonal display. Strong support is essential to accommodate its growth and long flower clusters. To keep your wisteria in shape and promote abundant flowering, prune the long, thin shoots in winter.
